Some renditions in vitreous enamel on copper, inpired by Tolkien’s forests – Entwood and Fanghorn. The tree creatures are perhaps closer to the Huorns than the true Ents.

About Harry Nicholson

I'm an enameller who works with a kiln, fusing pictures in glass onto copper. I write a few poems and short stories. There is an eBook anthology of them, 'Green Linnet' on Amazon. Also a novel, 'Tom Fleck', set in the North of England of 1513 - the year of Flodden. A sequel to 'Tom Fleck' is 'The Black Caravel' published in 2016. My anthology of poems came out in 2015: 'Wandering About.' I've a blog of poems, stories and art at: https://1513fusion.wordpress.com/

  1. They’re beautiful pieces, Harry. 🙂

    • Thanks, Viv and Ina and Paul. There’s lots of Tolkien inspired art around the world; interesting to compare the different approaches. I’ll be doing more soon, to have a break from writing. The new novel is 15k – but it moves slower than history.
Rewrite, rewrite, rewrite – anything to avoid a new chapter.

It’s been a while since you posted any new enamels – these are gorgeous. I like the Northumberlandia header pic, too.

Beautiful art work! I remember those Ents! 🙂
