Glass on copper.

There are not enough hours in the day – I’m supposed to be writing a novel, the garden is ‘out of hand’, my runner beans have failed and I’ve neglected this blog of late. So here is a post: A few new enamel images from the kiln. Mostly 100x140mm.

I like these. Never heard of glass on copper before. Beautiful!

    • Hello, Siobhan. This is vitreous enamel fused onto copper at around 900C. Faberge used the same process on gold and silver. Unlike Rembrandt’s work this medium is good for a couple of millennia.

  2. These are all gorgeous, Harry. Did you paint the background to your blog? A very nice watercolour.
